Boab - Local Artist PuzzleCarved boab nut. Hand carved by local artist to Fitzroy Crossing. Boab nuts are synonymous with the Kimberley region. Many artists start their careers carving and painting boabs for sale as gifts, decorations and for sharing stories before moving onto painting on canvas and other art forms. This is my mother's country way out in the desert

This painting is all about women going hunting looking for bush tucker carrying coolamon to put the tucker in side

We hunted pussycat and goanna

After the massacres led by the cattlemen

They used to cut his horn in those old days

My granny married William Cox

This one is rain

They are like bunch of bush that are small with very yellow flowers

You see the mulla mulla which is the purple colour and the yellow represents the dry grass
