The Tyl Theatre Prague, Architectural Bookends artA highly detailed, hand made model of the 18th Century Tyl Theatre in Prague by Timothy Richards. We have a single piece display model of the Tyl Theatre (see other listing), but this is a two part model. These were produced in relatively small numbers and presented as book ends, but serve equally well as a decorative piece on a bookshelf, a table or a mantel. Amazing attention to detail, this is one of a small collection we recently acquired others

but the strings for the head and shoulders do need re-attaching

We have been unable to identify the specific individual it relates to

The opening of the receptacle and the corresponding thread are silver plated

the last one at Mecum Auctions in 2017 for a hammer price of $531

that likely was displayed in the church for approximately 20 years
