This brought about an abundance of romanticised Insect and spider pieces, decorated with colourful gemstones

It’s been beautifully preserved and is complete with a lock of black hair inside that most likely belonged to the lady in the accompanying photograph who may have been the wife or mother of the original owner and was clearly very dear to them

They’re an eye-catching pair and held by lever back fittings complete with hallmarks and the maker’s initials
