The is a full and generous wine from a hot vintage that does not hold back in term of fruit density or intensity. It would welcome some pork filled ravioli. The soft tannins add to the wine's balanced full bodied approach.

yet I suspect it will evolve for upwards of a decade

It was served at the end of the tasting

making this fresh and zesty wine quite quaffable

with light smoky earth

all the elements are nicely balanced

they are softly pressed and left in contact with the skins for a short period

Bordered by the Vosges Mountains to the west

with supple waves of cassis and red currant flecked with a lot of spice and singed garrigue

The wine finishes with balance and a good persistence
